Oprah Winfrey was pictured via her Facebook wading in the massive deviation that was once an ultra-affluent Santa Barbara neighborhood.
Without notice, the deadly mudslides struck the wealthy Southern California enclave which sits northwest of Los Angeles and houses about 9,000 elite humans.
While Winfrey’s home appears to have for the most part weathered the mudslides, some were not so lucky. News helicopters showed dozens of devastated seaside mansions, some reduced to a pile of sticks.

NBC left many conservative Twitter users scratching their heads after posting a tweet Sunday seemingly supporting Oprah Winfrey for president of the United States.
During the Golden Globes telecast on Sunday night, NBC seemed to be campaigning for Winfrey, releasing a tweet picturing the talk show queen with the caption, “Nothing but respect for OUR future president.”
But as it turns out, the early and embarrassing endorsement was all just a horrible misunderstanding, according to NBC.
The network blamed a “third party” Monday for the misguided tweet backing the TV talk show queen’s supposed 2020 ambitions.
“Yesterday a tweet about the Golden Globes and Oprah Winfrey was sent by a third party agency for NBC Entertainment in real time during the broadcast,” read the tweet. “It is in reference to a joke made during the monologue and not meant to be a political statement. Marty Ingels, the character actor best known for his appearances on countless 1960s TV shows, has passed away. He was 79.
Ingels, who later became a talent agent and voiceover artist, was married to Partridge Family actress Shirley Jones for almost 40 years. He is said to have died Wednesday at Tarzana Medical Center following a massive stroke. He was 79.
Ingels notably played Rob Petrie’s Army buddy on “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” and had appearances on “Bewitched,” “The Ann Sothern Show” and “Pete and Gladys.” Continue reading
Danny Pintauro, the child star of hit series, “Who’s The Boss,” has revealed to Oprah, that he’s HIV-positive, and has been so for more than a decade.
Pintauro played the precocious son, Jonathan, on the popular Tony Danza sitcom, that aired from 1984 until 1992.

Oprah Winfrey is considering buying the L.A. Clippers with music mogul David Geffen and Oracle’s Larry Ellison.
The revelation came as the NBA board of governors voted to force Donald Sterling to sell the team.
NBA commish, Silver banned Sterling for life, fined him $2.5 million, and said he will press the other teams to support his desire to make Sterling sell.
