KY Siblings Andrew & Hailey Smith ID’d As Victim In Saturday Night Lexington Vehicle Crash

FAYETTE COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Andrew Lee Smith and Hailey Nicole Smith, of Lexington, Kentucky, have been identified as the victims in a Saturday night double-fatal vehicle crash in Fayette County.

Andrew, 19, and Hailey, 16, were both killed in a two-vehicle head-on crash near Lexington Saturday night.

According to reports, the brother and sister were involved in a head-on crash near Athens Boonesboro Road & Blue Sky Parkway, Saturday night around 7 p.m.

No further information on the deadly crash was provided as of Sunday afternoon.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

NC Woman Ebony Kindle ID’d As Victim In Thursday Night Fatal Disabled Vehicle Collision

ROWAN COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Ebony Kindle, of Lexington, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a fatal disabled vehicle collision in Rowan County Thursday night.

Kindle, 31, was killed after a disabled vehicle she occupied with a child, was struck by a big-rig Thursday night near Davidson.

According to reports, Kindle was operating a vehicle on I-85 near Davidson, when the vehicle became disabled by a flat tire around 8:30 p.m. Thursday. While stopped on the shoulder, the vehicle was struck by a passing tractor-trailer.

Kindle was pronounced dead on the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

The child was uninjured in the collision.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Massive KY Police Presence Downtown Lexington Near University of Kentucky Thursday Morning

LEXINGTON, KY. (THECOUNT) — A large police presence is responding to downtown Lexington near the University of Kentucky Thursday morning, according to reports.

Police were seen arriving in numbers near Rose Street near East Maxwell Street. That’s close to Memorial Coliseum on UK’s campus.

KY Police Respond In Numbers Friday Night To Possible Shooting At Lexington Fayette Mall

LEXINGTON, KY. (THECOUNT) — Lexington Police are responding in numbers to a reported shooting outside Lexington, Kentucky Fayette Mall, reports say Friday night.

Details are limited, and it is unclear what led to the large police presence. Several police vehicles responded to the intersection of Nicholasville Road and Wilson Downing Road.

KY Woman Iesha Edwards ID’d As Victim Fatally Shot Outside Lexington Fox Club

LEXINGTON, KY. (THECOUNT) — Iesha Edwards has been identified as the female victim in an early morning shooting outside a gentlemen’s club on Lexington’s east side.

Edwards, 27, died of gunshot injuries just before 3 a.m. after being shot outside Lexington’s Fox Club, located at, 3946, 987 Winchester Rd, in Lexington, KY.

Police were still seeking a suspect and no motive information was provided by officials.

The Fayette County Coroner confirmed Edwards died of a gunshot wound just before 3 a.m. after being transported to an area hospital.

Police were reviewing surveillance footage after the shooting occurred about 2:30 a.m.

Authorities said they were looking for a male suspect but did not say what might have led up to the deadly shooting.

Police found shell casings at the scene, and an unoccupied vehicle in front of the club was struck by a bullet, reports LEX18.

Anyone with possible information on the fatal incident are asked to contact police at 911 immediately.

SC Man Davontaye Washington ID’d As Pedestrian In Saturday Fatal Lexington Hit-And-Run

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Davontaye Laquan Radell Washington, of Columbia, South Carolina, has been identified as the pedestrian struck and killed in a Lexington hit-and-run Saturday night.

Police say, Davontaye Washington, 21, was hit by a vehicle in Lexington on Nazareth Road around 9:45 p.m., who then fled the scene.

Washington was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force injuries consistent with the violent collision.

No suspect or vehicle description has been provided by authorities.

LEXINGTON, KY. (THECOUNT) — Timothy Coffey has been identified as the suspect accused of shooting his own brother dead in Lexington , KY, Thursday.

Lexington police say, Coffey, 26, has now been charged with murder in the shooting death of his brother, 28-year-old, Jaymes Coffey, Thursday morning.

Police say Timothy Coffey shot and killed his older brother after 9 a.m. following an argument at a residence in the 900 block of Krissy Way, in Lexington, KY.

VA 12-Year-Old Girl Killed By Car After Chasing Family Dog Into Lexington Street

ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — JennaRae Goodbar, of Lexington, VA, has been identified as the young girl struck and killed by a vehicle while chasing the family dog into the street

Goodbar, 12, was struck and killed by a vehicle after she entered the roadway in an attempt to capture the family dog who had bolted on West Midland Trail, in Lexington, VA, on Saturday.

Police responded to calls of a child versus vehicle in the 3000 block of Midland Trail around 2:25 p.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival, first responders found a victim suffering from blunt force trauma after colliding with a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu.

Wyatt Baughman has been identified by the Lexington County Coroner as the Lexington man who was killed in a deadly motorcycle crash Friday night.

Rueben Wyatt Baughman, 31, of Lexington, was traveling on Highway 6 when he lost control of his 1986 Suzuki motorcycle while trying to pass another vehicle.

South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers said the incident happened just before 9 p.m. Baughman, who was driving a 1986 Suzuki Motorcycle, was traveling east on South Carolina Highway 6 near Pleasant View Drive when he lost control. The coroner said Baughman was attempting to pass another car when he was ejected from his motorcycle as he maneuvered to avoid a collision with an oncoming car. Continue reading
