COLUMBIANA COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Joseph Balistrieri, of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday afternoon fatal motorcycle crash in Columbiana County, Ohio.
Joey Balistrieri, 42, was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Center Township Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, Balistrieri was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle on OH-172 in Center Township, when for unknown reasons, the bike exited the roadway around 3 p.m. Sunday. The bike then rolled over throwing the rider.
Balistrieri was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
