BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Jacob Gardner, of Irvington, Kentucky, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday night fatal vehicle crash in Breckinridge County.
Gardner, 21, was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-tractor Thursday night near Irvington.
According to reports, a 39-year-old male big-rig driver from Rockport, Indiana, was traveling on US 60 near Invington, when for unknown reasons, the truck crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes. The vehicle then came into contact with a Honda operated by Gardner.
Gardner was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
