KERN COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — Fancy Renee Castro and Ray Segura, both of Bakersfield, California, have been identified as the victims in a Monday double-fatal vehicle crash in Kern County.
Castro, 30, and 33-year-old Segura, were both killed in a two-vehicle crash near Bakersfield early Monday morning.
According to reports, Segura was operating a Kia with Castro as his passenger on Highway 155/Garces Highway near Melcher Road in Delano, when the vehicle was struck by a Dodge that failed to observe a posted stop sign around 2 a.m. Monday.
Three occupants of the Dodge were transported to area hospitals with moderate to major injuries.
Segura and Castro both died of injuries suffered in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
