EDGAR COUNTY, IL. (THECOUNT) — Brody Sanders, of Paris, Illinois, has been identified as the teenager killed in a Saturday morning vehicle crash in Edgar County.
Sanders, 16, a junior at Paris High School, was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning.
According to reports, Briar Sanders, 19, was operating an SUV on South High Street near East Madison Street in Paris, when the vehicle came into contact with a fire hydrant Friday around 2 a.m.
Briar was transported to an area hospital where he remains in stable condition.
Brody, who was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
