COFFEE COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Trenton Sanders, of Elba, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday morning fatal vehicle crash in Coffee County.
Sanders, 20, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Elba early Sunday morning.
According to reports, Sanders was operating a Chevrolet Malibu on AL-87, about 15 miles north of Elba, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 2:10 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle then came into contact with a grouping of trees.
Sanders was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
