JEFFERSON COUNTY, AR. (THECOUNT) — Christian Mayzes, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday shooting in Jefferson County.
Mayzes, 18, was fatally shot in Pine Bluff Saturday morning.
According to reports, police responded to a call of shots fired in the 3700 block of West Short 3rd Avenue in Pine Bluff around 5 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived, Mayzes was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Before losing consciousness, Mayzes told police he was shot at a club in the 200 block of South Blake Street.
Mayzes was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
Police provided no motive or suspect information.
