PULASKI COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Perry A. Hodge, of Dublin, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday morning vehicle crash in Pulaski County.
Hodge, 49, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Dublin early Thursday morning.
According to reports, Michael D. Morris, 26, of Pulaski, was operating a Chevrolet 1500 pick-up truck traveling on Route 11 near Dublin, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 4 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a Ford F150 pickup truck, operated by Hodge.
Hodge was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Morris was transported to an area hospital for treatment of serious unknown injuries.
Charges are pending in the deadly incident.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
