OCONEE COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Sabra C. Lott, of Elgin, South Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday fatal vehicle crash in Oconee County.
Lott, 53, was killed in a vehicle crash involving a dump truck near Salem Wednesday evening.
According to reports, Lott was operating a vehicle on Whitewater Falls Road/ SC-130 near Salem, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 4 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a dump truck.
Lott, who was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, was then struck by at least one more vehicle.
Lott was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver of the dump truck was transported to an area hospital for unknown injuries. The operator of a passenger vehicle that also struck Lott, was not injured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
