KERN COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — Kaylie Corbella has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle Wednesday night in Kern County, California.
Corbella, 14, was struck and killed by a vehicle near Bakersfield Wednesday night.
According to reports, Corbella was on-foot in the area of 3500 Union Avenue in Bakersfield, when she was struck by a passing vehicle.
Corbella was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver remained on-scene and fully cooperated with arriving officials.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
