OMAHA, NE. (THECOUNT) — A 14-year-old girl was operating a pickup truck when she reportedly turned in front of a motorcycle carrying two people Saturday night in Omaha. The motorcyclist died and his passenger, Jenna Dieffenbach, was critically hurt in the crash.
According to officials, the teen driver was operating a Ford F-150 traveling in the intersection of 156th and Q streets in Omaha, when she attempted to conduct a left hand turn into the path of the motorcycle.
Dieffenbach, 24, was critically injured when she was ejected from the motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was killed. His name has not been released as of Sunday morning.
Dieffenbach sustained serious injuries to her abdomen, pelvis, arm, and ankle that are not considered life threatening, reports ColumbusTelegram.
The teen driver, whose name was not provided, didn’t report any injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
