POLK COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Polk County SWAT team is at a Lakeland, Florida home where a “suicidal man” is barricaded inside with two children.
The sheriff’s office has been at the home near Deeson Rd & County Rd 35 Alt in Kathleen, in north Lakeland since early Thursday morning.
Authorities say the man has not made any threats towards the children at this time and they are working with him to try to get him to turn himself in, reports ABCActionNews.
Deeson Rd. is closed to traffic in the area.
