CASS COUNTY, MI. (THECOUNT) — Chase Miller from Elkhart, Michigan, has been identified as the victim in a fatal vehicle crash in Cass County on Friday.
Miller, 28, was killed while operating a vehicle in Porter Township on Friday around 3:30 p.m. Friday, according to officials.
Reports say, Miller was operating a vehicle on Bellows Road near White Pigeon, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway.
The vehicle then entered a pond.
Miller was pulled from the pond and rescue workers performed CPR, reports WSBT.
Miller was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
According to Facebook, Chase lived in Edwardsburg, Michigan and was newly engaged to be married. He worked as a Logistics Coordinator at Mamo Transportation, Inc., according to Facebook.
