SANDY SPRINGS, GA. (THECOUNT) — Aquarius Johnson, of Lithonia, GA, has been identified as the Atlanta Watershed Management employee killed while operating a city of Atlanta vehicle Thursday during storm conditions, according to the Sandy Springs Police Department.
Johnson, 38, was identified the victim killed while driving a city of Atlanta vehicle on Mt Paran Road in Sandy Springs around 1:30 Thursday afternoon.
The rain was coming down hard and the wind was strong, reports Fox5Atlanta.
“A lot of wind and with all the rain I guess these trees they get unstable and they fall,” said Scott Butler who lives nearby.
Crews worked well into the evening to remove the tree from the road and restore power that was knocked out.
