HEMET, CA. (THECOUNT) — Rheanna Granado, of San Jacinto, California, has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash Thursday afternoon in Hemet, according to the Hemet Police Department. Granado was 28.
The collision occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of Kirby Street and Cyprus Street in Hemet, a Riverside County city located in Southern California’s San Jacinto Valley.
According to the Hemet Police Department, officers responded within minutes after receiving reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle in the area.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Granado unresponsive beside the roadway near the damaged motorcycle. Police immediately began administering emergency aid until relieved by arriving medical personnel.
Despite extensive life-saving efforts at the scene, Granado was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the collision, authorities said.
A preliminary investigation determined Granado had been operating the motorcycle southbound on Kirby Street immediately prior to the crash.
Investigators said the motorcycle left the roadway for reasons that remain under investigation before the collision occurred.
Although the initial dispatch indicated the crash may have involved another vehicle, investigators later stated that it did not appear any additional vehicles were involved in the collision.
Authorities have not released details regarding what may have caused the motorcycle to depart the roadway, and officials have not publicly identified speed, impairment, roadway conditions, or mechanical issues as contributing factors.

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Rheanna Granado, beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, who left this world far too soon at the age of 28. She was a vibrant and loving woman whose life centered around her children and family. Her bond with them was unbreakable, and her presence in their lives will forever be cherished and deeply missed. Her spirit brought light to those around her, and her kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Her laughter was contagious, her heart generous, and her love for her family unwavering. She valued connection, joy, and the beauty of everyday moments. Her life was tragically cut short in a motorcycle accident, a loss that has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of her loved ones. Though her time here was brief, the impact she made will endure through the memories she created and the love she gave so freely. She is survived by her two children, her loving parents, siblings, and friends all of whom will carry her memory with them always. She is reunited in heaven with her father, uncle and brother. Her legacy will live on in the lives she touched and in the hearts of those who loved her most. A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate her life and honor her memory. In support of Rheanna’s family during this difficult time, a GoFundMe has been established. Contributions will go toward funeral expenses and to help provide for her children. Any support you can offer will help ease the burden on Rheanna’s family and ensure her children are cared for as they navigate this heartbreaking loss. Your kindness and generosity are deeply appreciated.”
