NEEDHAM, MA. (THECOUNT) — A worker was killed Tuesday morning in an “industrial accident” at the TripAdvisor headquarters in Needham, Mass, officials confirmed.
The victim, an employee of the Otis Elevator Company, was killed while working at the online travel giant’s offices on 1st Avenue, in Needham, MA.
No employees of TripAdvisor were injured during the incident.
Several fire and rescue vehicles, including the Boston Fire Department Technical Rescue unit, responded to calls of an injured man.
The Medical Examiner was also summoned to the scene.
The company’s Needham headquarters opened in 2015, reports WCVB.
Details of what led up to the fatal incident were not provided by officials. The victim’s cause of death was not shared by investigators as of Tuesday afternoon.
