DIXON, IL. (THECOUNT) — Devon Jensen of Dixon, Illinois, has been identified as the victim in a fatal submerged vehicle crash Monday afternoon.
Jensen, 23, died after his vehicle crashed into the Rock River in Dixon on Monday, according to reports.
Authorities arrived to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on White Oak Lane around 2:50 p.m. on Monday. Upon arrival, officials discovered a vehicle submerged in the Dixon waterway.
Rescue personnel pulled Jensen from the vehicle while it was underwater, he was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Jensen was the sole occupant of the vehicle, according to WREX.
