WINSTON-SALEM, NC. (THECOUNT) — Michael Eugene Harris has been identified as the pedestrian struck and killed along a Winston-Salem roadway early Sunday morning.
Harris, 40, was hit by a driver while walking in the 2100 block of Peters Creek Parkway, in Winston-Salem, NC, shortly before 1 a.m., according to a Winston-Salem police press release.
Harris was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the collision.
The driver was uninjured in the crash.
It is unknown if anyone was cited at the scene or if any charged will be brought forth.
A man crossing the street died after being hit by a car early Sunday morning in Winston-Salem. Harris was hit by a 2017 Nissan Altima headed north in the center lane of Peters Creek Parkway. He died at the scene. The driver was not hurt. source
