MARQUETTE, MI. (THECOUNT) — Alexander Fisher, of Chassell, Michigan, has been identified as the victim in a vehicle-vs-logging truck accident in Portage Township Friday.
Alex Fisher, 19, was operating a vehicle when he collided with a logging truck Friday morning at around 10:00 a.m. at the intersection of US-41 and Denton Road in Portage Township, Michigan.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police-Calumet Post witnessed the crash. 19-year-old Alexander Fisher of Chassell was driving west on Denton Road and failed to stop at the intersection. source
A logging truck was going south on US-41 when it came into contact with Fisher’s vehicle causing a crash.
Fisher was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the collision.
The truck driver was uninjured.

Portage Township is a charter township of Houghton County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the township population was 3,221. The city of Houghton is adjacent to the north side of the township, according to Wikipedia.
