MARLBOROUGH, CT. (THECOUNT) — Connecticut State police said they’re looking for Reid Keener, after his parent’s Marlborough went up in smoke overnight.
Keener, 27, has been named as a person of interest after Marlborough firefighters extenguished a blaze at a large home, located at, 242 W Rd Marlborough.
The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. Monday on West Road, which according to troopers is Keener’s parents’ home. They said the fire was quickly knocked down.
State police sent a message to residents in the area.
“Troop K is looking for Reid Keener, 6’2 180 lbs white male, last seen wearing a cooper-colored shirt, grey board shorts and flip flops.” the message said. “He is wanted in regards to a warrant out of Troop K and is a person of interest in a fire set at his parents house on West Road in Marlborough. Use caution, Keener has a history of mental illness, but it not known to possess weapons.” source
Crews were on the scene for about an hour before the flames were doused.
No one was hurt.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
