NC Man Found Shot Dead Outside Winston-Salem Home Saturday Identified

WINSTON-SALEM, NC. (THECOUNT) — North Carolina man, Timothy Jerome Ford, has been identified as the victim found shot at his home in Winston-Salem on Saturday.

Ford, 48, was found suffering from gunshot wounds after police responded to a call of shots fired at a residence located at, 1062 East 17th Street, Winston-Salem, NC, around 4 p.m.

Investigators have not released a motive or any information on a suspect, but said it appears that the shooting was not random, and the suspect and victim knew each other. The case is being investigated as a homicide. source

Ford was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to a police press release.

Anyone with information on the fatal shooting should contact police at 911.
