EVANGELINE PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — The teenager from St. Landry Parish killed following a two-vehicle crash last night in Evangeline Parish, has been identified as, 18-year-old McKenzie Dupre.
Dupre, from the Town of Washington, was driving her car through the intersection of LA-104 and Beacon Road, in Evangeline Parish, when she was hit by a Ford F-150 truck.
Shortly after 10:30 p.m., State Police Troop I responded to the crash on LA 104 at Beacon Road. source
According to a state police spokesman, Dupre was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained critical blunt force trauma injuries.
She was taken to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the truck was wearing a seatbelt. He was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
