DARIEN LAKE, NY. (THECOUNT) — Connor Lynskey has been identified as the young man killed while walking home after attending the Jason Aldean concert at Darien Lake.
Lynskey, 18, was named by deputies in Genesee County as the teen was killed in a hit-and-run incident early Saturday morning on the shoulder of Sumner Road near Harlow Road.
Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies say 18-year-old, Connor Lynskey, was walking on the shoulder of Sumner Road near Harlow Road when a vehicle struck him. Lynskey was thrown into the air from the impact and landed in a ditch by the road near a corn field. source
Lynskey’s friends became aware something was wrong when he failed to return to their campsite after the concert. They then alerted authorities to his absence.
Deputies later found him dead on the shoulder of blunt force trauma injuries caused from being struck by an unknown vehicle.
The suspect vehicle did not remain at the scene and is still being sought.
Lynskey was pronounced dead at the scene.
