OMAHA, NE. (THECOUNT) — Authorities in Omaha, Nebraska, have identified, Evan Welsh, as the motorcyclist killed Thursday in a crash Thursday.
Welsh, 25, was operating a motorcycle near 180th and Harrison, in Omaha, when the fatal wreck occurred.
Walsh collided with the passenger side of a Chevy Equinox, driven by a 17-year-old driver, who had turned into the path of the motorcycle, say police.
Omaha Police Officers and Sarpy County Deputies were dispatched to 180th and Harrison around 10:30 p.m. Their investigation revealed that Welsh was westbound on Harrison when an eastbound Chevy Equinox turned in front of his Honda motorcycle. source
Walsh was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders of blunt force trauma injuries. The Chevy driver was uninjured in the collision.
Police say charges are pending against the Chevy driver, 17-year-old Dalton Glenn.
