SUMMERTON, SC. (THECOUNT) — South Carolina man, Carl Wiggins, a part-time Summerton police officer, was identified as the man killed in an Interstate 95 crash near Adams Landing in South Carolina.
Wiggins 63, of Holly Hill, SC, was killed early Monday when his SUV collied with a semi-tractor while traveling southbound on I-95 bridge crossing Lake Marion.
South Carolina Highway Patrol Lt. Bob Beres says the wreck happened on the I-95 southbound bridge crossing Lake Marion. Wiggins’ SUV was disabled and stationary in the right hand lane when it was struck by the tractor-trailer. source
Wiggins worked for the Summerton Police Department. He previously had worked as an officer in Holly Hill and Santee.
