The Eaton County Sheriff’s Office has identified Tuesday’s homicide victim as 22-year-old Trevon McDuffy of Lansing, MI.
The shooting happened in the parking lot of the Quicky Convenience store at 4820 S. Waverly Road in Delta Township just after 4:30pm Tuesday.
When deputies arrived, McDuffy was lying in the parking lot with gunshot wounds and died before he could be taken to the hospital.
So far, no one has been arrested, however detectives have determined it was not a random act of violence.
In 2012, McDuffy and his brother Tawan, faced felony home invasion charges after they were allegedly caught by police in the middle of a south Lansing burglary.
Trevon, then 17, was arrested along with his brother on second-degree home invasion charge.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to family and friends at this difficult time.
