Andy Griffith Last Wish “Bury Me Fast And Where No One Will Find Me”

The body of Andy Griffith has already been buried as of Tuesday morning — less than five hours after he died.

Andy passed away at around 7 a.m. ET at his home on Roanoke Island and at the request of his family, Griffith’s body buried on an island less than 5 hours later.

“It had been planned for some time,” a family spokesperson said, who declined to reveal where on the island the body was buried.

“This was the wish of his family.”

Andy was best known as the sheriff of Mayberry on the CBS series “The Andy Griffith Show,” he died Tuesday after an illness and “has been laid to rest on his beloved Roanoke Island,” the family said in a statement.
