“The Walking Dead” Season 2 Finale: Zombie Slaves, Rick Caves- A Prison Awaits

**SPOILER ALERT for those of you who haven’t seen “The Walking Dead” season 2 finale**

Last night on “The Walking Dead” season finale ending, a striking-new character was introduced, while Andrea was in the midst of becoming zombie dinner. But before Andrea became zombie bait, the first part of the show was filled with the most entertaining zombie target practice we’ve ever seen.

In the midst of a zombie invasion, the team was driving around the farm in vehicles, popping off rounds of bullets in zombies heads, while farm-owner Hershel was standing solo in front of his farmhouse, firing off shotgun bullets into zombies who were headed for his beloved house.

When the swarm of zombies became to hard to handle, the surviving group members fled the scene, driving fast and far. That’s when it was discovered that one survivor was left behind to fend for herself.

Andrea, who was left behind at the farmhouse during the zombie invasion, was chased out into the woods all alone by zombies. Andrea was running on foot, tirelessly trying to fend off the hungry zombies, until a zombie she was fighting, almost got the best of her. Just when we thought she was going to be zombie dinner, the ruthless zombie gets his head chopped off and falls over dead for good, and that’s when the ‘cloaked’ dominatrix-looking character who saves Andrea’s life, is revealed.

This new ‘samurai’ character with cleavage, who is named Michonne, wears a hooded cloak and walks with two arm-less zombie slaves on leashes. Viewers were then left on a limb after Michonne was revealed, and we were taken back to what was going on with the rest of the surviving group who fled the farmhouse.

The pack stopped their vehicles and set up camp miles away from the farmhouse. The group suddenly became weary of Rick, as he wasn’t playing the nice guy anymore. The pack was mad that Rick held back information about ‘everyone carrying the zombie gene’ and that ‘they could turn into zombies at any time like if they got angry enough’. Rick even consoled to his wife he killed best friend Shane, and ‘saw it coming days ago’ that Shane wanted to kill him first. Rick even told her that their son Carl shot Shane to his death a second time, when Shane was resurrected into a zombie.

It was inferred that Rick may be going insane, and just could very well ‘turn’ like Shane did, if he takes his anger to the brink of insanity- which he might do!

The finale ending left us with a near-distant view of a prison, shimmering under the moonlight. Perhaps prison will be their new home next season? What is Michonne going to do with Andrea after saving her life? Will everyone become a family again, or will everyone split into different directions?

  • I just finish the season 2 of Walking dead but I really want to watch the finale season because of this mysterious katana guy with armless walker slaves.

  • Oh and they should have cast Tom Savini as the governor! I bet the guy they got will be decent, but Savini would have been glorious!

  • I collect comics and i like the michones character in the book but when she made her intro on the show my girlfriend and i both burst out laughing in disgust! It was so bad and cheesy! They need to bring in some more great characters from the comic but c'mon Kirkman that was ridiculous! Michones scenes in the comic are more realistic, its the only time ive watched a show and i kind of felt embaressed! Really bad! Oh well, make it up by showing Michones mutilation of the governor!

  • Well the two zombies that she has chained up are not necessarily her slaves lol. One is, well "was" her boyfriend before he turned & the other is her boyfriends best friend. I guess she keeps them around for the sake of her own sanity, seeing as how she still talks to them as if they are still normal when no one is looking.

  • i dont agree - the 2 zombies chainned to her is better than draping nast guts and body parts around you like glenn and rick did....
the group left Andrea...i wonder how she will feel about that??

  • As much as I love this series this part was lame. The whole show is based on reality and the human spirit. When people are eliminated from the series you feel the emotion, because in fact if something happened like that in the REAL world it would effect you in the way they've been doing this show. Now they have a Kill Bill chic enter the scene with Zombies chained to her? In what world would this actually happen? In the real world this wouldn't take place. Its like Robert Kirkman said "You know what would be cool" and threw this crap in there. Taking away the human element for cheese is a bad move. 90% of the people watching this show could care less about the comics(Some didn't even know it was one and some still don't). Looking at the picture now it looks ridiculous. And how many Zombies were behind Andrea? As she is about to be a meal for one there suddenly becomes less Zombies and they leave the one so they could set up this really bad looking shot to introduce a character that only the comic fans like. I loved this show, but with the human element being eliminated I'm not sure if I'll be a fan of Season 3.

    • The majority that supported the show where comic book fans nobody cares about your stupid rants. then dont watch its as simple as that. it was succesful even before you people started watching it. i think you should just stick to your twilight or harry potter or whatever it is you people fancy

    • Based on reality? First off its fiction as the story has zombies and its based on the comic. I guess the comic comes first story wise as the majority of the non comic fans hated andrea and lori but they had major parts in the comics. its better than some stupid smoke monster from lost lol

  • Michonne's armless zombies also don't have lower jaws, which pretty much renders them harmless... but I wouldn't call them "slaves."
