Christian Bale Done with Batman for Good

Christian Bale tells the press he is completely done with being Batman.

Bale said that it’s been “enjoyable” being Batman, and at the same time he’s happy to be done. Bale told the Philippines Daily Inquirer, “I wrapped [done with filming] a few days ago, so that will be the last time I’m taking that cowl [cape] off.”

Although bale enjoyed his role, he said he thought co-star Anne Hathaway had a ‘less enjoyable’ time during filming. Bale said, “There are a number of people who feel that the Catwoman role has been defined previously. So, I always saw Anne’s role as being the toughest job of any of us.”

“Batman: The Dark Knight Rises” stars Bale and Hathaway, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tom Hardy. The film will be out July 20, 2012.
