Dana Burdick has been identified by Powhatan Deputies as the man fatally shot at an All Faze Auto Body in Powhatan County Monday night. Burdick was 35.
Earlier news reports indicated that the shooting occurred at Murphy’s body shop, however, TheCount.com has learned “All Faze Auto Body” was in-fact the exact location of the fatal family-involved shooting. All Faze operates in a space within the Anderson Highway building that is marked “Murphy’s body shop.”
A sign pictured hanging on the auto shop’s door stated that the business was closed “for the day.” Continue reading
Local Indiana boxer, Andrew Rodger, has been named as the man seriously injured in a shooting in West Garfield, TheCount.com has learned.
Police confirmed two people were shot Wednesday night in Elkhart, Indiana, one of those is Rodger, 25, who is listed in serious condition a South Bend hospital.
Just after 8:30 p.m., officers were called to the 100 block of West Garfield where they found a person who had been shot. On Thursday morning, police identified him as 25-year-old Andrew Rodger of Elkhart. He was taken to a South Bend hospital in serious condition. Another victim, now identified as 39-year-old Kory Williams of Elkhart, later walked into an Elkhart hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Continue reading
The Kenosha County sheriff’s office estimated that more than 5,000 people were at the raceway for the “Larry’s Funfest” event when gunfire erupted, killing three Illinois men.
The three men were shot “point blank” while attending the Great Lakes Dragaway event in Union Grove. The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s with a partially-shaved head, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jean cutoff shorts.
The shooting occurred near a food vendor at the event which is located at 18411 1st St, Union Grove, WI 53182 and billed to include drag racing, tailgating, live entertainment and a car show. Continue reading
Maine State Police have named Norma Bridges, as the 50-year-old woman found shot dead in her Westbrook Maine residence.
Police say they are investigating the Monday shooting as suspicious.
Police say Bridges was found dead inside her home at 40 Falmouth Street around 9 p.m. Monday night. An autopsy will also take place as investigators seek to determine what happened. Police say the gun involved in the shooting was recovered. Continue reading
A Lithia Springs High School teacher shot himself in a classroom on Thursday morning, school officials confirmed. It was not immediately confirmed if the shooting took place during class or when school was in session, however, according to Douglas County School System spokesperson Nell Boggs, the teacher was alone when the shooting occurred around 7:15 a.m.
The identity of the victim and his condition was not immediately made available. Douglas County School Superintendent Trent North said that the man was married and had a child.
Classes have been cancelled for the day, Boggs said. Students may be picked up by a guardian or parents, and buses will be available to take riders home. Continue reading
TheCount.com has learned. Jeff Barboa, the man shot and killed after Vallejo Police officers opened fire, was a respected therapist at North Bay Recovery Center in San Rafael, California. Barboa was 44.

The Eaton County Sheriff’s Office has identified Tuesday’s homicide victim as 22-year-old Trevon McDuffy of Lansing, MI.
The shooting happened in the parking lot of the Quicky Convenience store at 4820 S. Waverly Road in Delta Township just after 4:30pm Tuesday.
When deputies arrived, McDuffy was lying in the parking lot with gunshot wounds and died before he could be taken to the hospital.
James Huskey has been named as the suspect shot and killed by a Sallisaw, OK., police officer at a McDonald’s Wednesday afternoon, according to authorities.
Huskey, 45, allegedly fired on deputies while inside the McDonald’s. Deputies returned fire, killing Huskey, Capt. Murray said. There were customers inside the McDonald’s during the incident. There were no reports of other injuries.
Fort Smith police sent out a notice about Huskey Wednesday morning. Police said Huskey had arrest warrants out of Texas and had threatened suicide by cop.
Police tracked Huskey to Sallisaw after his vehicle was found at a motel inside the city. Officers warned residents to be on the lookout for him before he was located. Continue reading
Two San Antonio Police officers have been shot. The officers are reportedly to be in critical condition.
The police officers and a suspect have been shot north of downtown San Antonio, WOAI reports.

The Rutherfordton Police Department is investigating after Rutherfordton man, Robert Marvin Rape Sr., was found dead in his yard from an “apparent gunshot wound.” Rape is the grandfather of Matthew Fenner, (pictured) who testified against a minister charged with his kidnapping and assault.
Rape Sr., 70, was found shot dead in his yard on Briarwood Drive in North Carolina on the morning of June 17, 2017.
The Rutherfordton Police Department said in a press release they requested a consultation meeting with special agents with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and a representative from District Attorney Ted Bell’s office. Continue reading
