FAYETTE COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) – A Fayette County deputy was shot Thanksgiving morning.
Ricky Wilson, spokesman for the sheriff’s office, confirms the deputy was shot but couldn’t give an update on the deputy’s condition.

Specialist Brock Rollins, a decorated paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division, was found dead at a residence in Fayetteville on Saturday, military authorities said.
Officials say they are investigating the cause of death of Rollins. Foul play was not mentioned in the report by military police.
Rollins was an infantryman assigned to 1st Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment. He had been in the Army since 2010 and the 82nd since March 2011. He deployed to Afghanistan in a combat role twice.
“Specialist Brock Rollins volunteered to serve in our Army in a time of war and for that we are grateful,” said Col. Pat Work, commander of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team. Continue reading
The Sonic Drive-in in the 5900 block of Cliffdale Road in Fayetteville is the scene of a police-involved shooting.
Authorities were called to the incident that involved the serving of a warrant. Officials did not released any other details surrounding the shooting.

Quintin Murphy, a Raleigh, NC., student, is minus his diploma after performing a impromptu striptease during his high school graduation ceremony.
Murphy claims the strip-stunt was not a prank, but rather a demonstration to bring attention to the plight of Iraqi and Afghanistan veterans with PTSD. Um okay.
“I deeply apologize if you guys took it the wrong way,” said Murphy, continuing, “Fayetteville does not have the best VA hospital, I have been there with my uncle and grandfather, and I’ve see how poor things are, and like these are men that have served.” Continue reading
