DeLay DeDancing
We still have a week until the premiere of Dancing with The Stars but already a cast member has been injured. That’s right, disgraced House Majority Leader Tom DeLay has hurt his foot while rehearsing with dance partner Cheryl Burke.
From DeLay’s twitter: “Old age is catching up to me. May have a stress fracture in my foot. No worries, it’ll take more than that to keep me off the dance floor.”
And right DeLay was as later in the day he updated his tweet saying that he didn’t have a stress fracture and that he’d “live for another day.” Sorry Democrats.
We’re not sure how hurt DeLay is and how this will affect his performance but it looks like he’ll be around. The show premieres on September 21 so there is still plenty of time for someone to slip on a banana peel or have a piano dropped on them. Surely, this will be the first of many celebrity injuries.

Twitter is a great way to get a sneak peek into a celebrity’s personal life and thank goodness celebs just can’t seem to stop sharing these Peek Tweets!
This morning while managing my Twitter I came across this Tweet penned by “Personal Best” actress Mariel Hemingway;
Marielhemingway: “received a THANK YOU card from my youngest for her birthday present….gotta teach them about a good old fashioned letter…it’s the best” …
“and NO WIRE HANGERS!!”
Okay, I added the wire hanger bit but are you kidding me? Hemingway’s kid gave her a THANK YOU card for getting a present and that wasn’t good enough for Mom? Mom wanted a THANK YOU LETTER?
I don’t have kids but if I did and that kid gave me a card for giving them a present, after picking my jaw up and off the ground, I would praise them like crazy and then go immediately to the story to buy them another gift.
Maybe I’m missing something here but I come from a family that when you got a gift, firstly you check to see if the gift giver was thoughtful enough to buy the corresponding batteries, “check” next if the gift requires Adult Assembly, “check” then it was a quick “thanks sucker” and it’s off to enjoy the new bounty.

Twitter is a big deal. We all know people love to Twitter but how much does Twitter love it’s users? Is Twitter so big that there is nothing they can do to stop the dreaded whale of over capacity from rearing its ugly blowhole?
Google is bigger than the Beatles, and somehow they manage the load. Facebook, which takes in and handles many more requests than Twitter seems to manage an excellent uptime. So what’s up with Twitter?
Maybe it’s a simple case of economics. Twitter has not really fully monetized its site yet, so maybe they simply do not have the funds to invest in an infrastructure theat can deal with the zillions of daily Tweets. On the other hand, maybe the Twitter system is flawed, much in the way MySpace.com was and still is flawed.
When Michael Jackson passed away, he single handedly broke google.com, CNN.com and many other websites simply because the internet, as a whole, did not know how to deal with all the folks trying to get information on Jackson. Maybe, just maybe, the Twitter whale swims in too small an ocean, known as the Internet, and until we build a better internet, whales like Twitter will keep getting stuck in that net.

Late night Tweeter
Lindsay Lohan let her Twitter friends in on her personal life late last night. Looks like LiLo was having a tough evening and wanted all the internet to know. She even asked folks for advice! Too bad I missed it because I have a lot of advice to give Lindsay. Of course, advice for Lindsay Lohan can’t be limited to 140 characters.
As usual, it appears that the young actress was having a spat with on again/off again girlfriend, Samantha Ronson.
Around 4 AM, Lindsay tweeted this: “being lied to after being my father’s daughter…. is miserable, especially when you’re finally back on track. miss u mommy thanks s********” Interesting. Do tell more Lindsay.
She did, later asking a friend “if someone u took a chance on loving-after 3.4.5.7.8.9 times.lied to you tonight..what would u do? even though u love them..?”
Finally, she sends a direct tweet to Samantha Ronson. “are you picking me up or not?” Ronson doesn’t respond.
I get concerned about Lindsay Lohan. Who is out at four in the morning on a Tuesday night, bickering with an ex and seeking rides home? That doesn’t seem like a healthy life style. Then again, this is coming from the guy who was playing Metal Slug 3 until 3 AM last night so who am I to judge?

Hackers broke into Britney Spears and Ellen DeGeneres’s Twitpic accounts over the weekend, spreading false information about the stars. The hackers even went so far to claim that Britney had passed away. The fake message read “Britney has passed today. It is a sad day for everyone. More news to come.”
Twitpic is looking into who did the hacking and how they can prevent future issues. They had to temporarily shut down the entire website for a brief time over the weekend to fix the problems caused by hackers.
Twitpic is a website that allows Twitter users to post pictures. Apparently the hackers were able to get into the system because of a “vulnerability” in the system.

Cheap W Magazine Subscriptions
Okay. So Bruce Willis and his new wife Emma are on the cover of the July issue of W magazine.
A) Bruce Willis looks hot. Probably the tattoos. Must check to see if they’re real. Seriously doubt it.
B) Totally forgot he was even married. Seems that he’s good at keeping a low profile and unlike his ex spouse and her hubby doesn’t take to his Twitter page 452 times a day to let the world know his feelings.
