When Charla Nash, a resident of Connecticut was attacked by a 200-pound Chip chances are she wasn’t thinking, “Wow, move over doctor Phil, Here comes Charla!” however, that’s in essence what has happened as Oprah’s people have announced that Nash will appear on the show.
The Chip, named Travis, did severe damage to Nash, tearing off several body parts.
Cheers to anyone one who goes through a tragedy like this to emerge on the other side!

Chris Brown isn’t too happy about the show Oprah devoted to “all the Rihannas of the world” after Brown and Rihanna’s domestic abuse incident in February. Oprah dedicated an entire episode to the issue of
The hit (rimshot please) singer’s remark:
“I commend Oprah on being like, ‘This is a problem,’ but it was a slap in my face. I did a lot of stuff for her, like going to Africa and performing for her school. She could have been more helpful, like, ‘Okay, I’m going to help both of these people out.’”
And the response from Oprah’s rep? “Oprah is very appreciative that Chris Brown performed at her school, but she takes domestic abuse very seriously. She hopes he gets the counseling he needs.”
This will probably be the end of their dispute. I mean, you can’t go up against Oprah. She’s Oprah, Chris Brown. Let it go.

Kathy Griffin
Comedian Kathy Griffin really wants to be in Oprah’s Book Club. So much so that she’s started her own online petition to get her latest memoir, Official Book Club Selection: A Memoir According to Kathy Griffin, to be Oprah’s selection. As we all know, when Oprah chooses a book for her book club, the sales skyrocket. Griffin no doubt wants the sales but also the publicity.
Griffin wrote a letter to Winfrey about how much she’d love to be invited on the show for her book. She listed all the fun things they’d do, how high the ratings would be and how much people would love it. Little it known about how or why Oprah chooses the books she does so maybe his will work. But probably not. Still, nice try Kathy.

Oprah Winfrey will launch the 24th season of her daytime talk show Sept. 14 with an exclusive interview with legendary singer Whitney Houston. Yes, Whitney Houston!
Oprah is calling this upcoming show “the most anticipated music interview of the decade.”
Whitney has been in hiding out in a cave somewhere for like 10 years! Bobby Brown seemed to have wrecked her career in every way possible, and it looks like this Oprah interview will be Whit’s big new beginning.

Mother Op’ doin’ it again!
Suntimes reports: “For the second time in recent years, she taking her entire staff and their families on vacation. This time they’re going on a lavish Mediterranean cruise.
The cruise ship will stop in Spain, Italy, Turkey, Greece and Malta. She is covering transportation, food, drinks and activities at port stops.
In 2005, Winfrey celebrated the end of her “Wildest Dreams” season by surprising her staff with an all-expenses-paid trip to Hawaii.
According to Chicago-based Best Travel, a cruise like the one Winfrey is taking her staff on costs about $5,400 a person.”

Oprah
Oprah Winfrey single-handedly turned a little know purple fruit from the Brazilian rainforest in to a overnight sensation and in the process caused a demand for the fruit that is depriving natives of badly needed protein and other nutrients derived from the fruit.
After Oprah aired a show about the benefits of Acai, Americans have been buying the stuff up like there is no tomorrow, problem is, it is becoming more and more expensive to produce and difficult to come by. This is a real shame as poor Brazilian folks who depend on the berry to supplement their other wise lousy diets. The berry is rich in protein, twice that of eggs and milk, pound for pound, Acai also contains high levels of vitamins E and B1, potassium, iron and calcium.
Oprah’s people are saying they have no vested interest in the Acai’s production or sale, however, Oprah did, with out a doubt, bring this product in to the spotlight in a major way. Maybe it’s time for Oprah to do a another show on Acai, this time telling people to donate to the World Rainforest Fund…

Simon Cowell paid a visit to The Oprah Show today, where he stated firmly that Adam Lambert will win American Idol. That should not come as big news to anyone who has been following this year’s edition of the popular singing contest.
Predictions are all well and fine, but what about the other two contestants still in the running for the trophy? All three are wildly talented singers with huge followings and gobs of support from American audiences. Should they just quit? Maybe…

This would be totally hot, if it’s true! Look Magazine is reporting Chris Brown is considering apologizing to Rihanna on the Oprah show!
Brown apparently said “no” at first but left the door open to Oprah’s invitation to say “I’m sorry” to Rihanna on the talk show host’s world stage.
Mamas boy Brown said he would have to consult Joyce before making if official.
This would be a win-win situation for all parties. Oprah would get huge ratings for Brown’s public groveling, Rihanna would get the huge apology she deserves. All we need to fight announcer “Michael Buffer” to announce it all “Let’s get ready to rumbleeeeeeee.”
