WASHINGTON, DC. (THECOUNT) — Investigative journalist Jenny Moore, has been identified as the woman found lifeless in a DC Country Inn & Suites.
“Jen” Moore was found dead in a suburban Washington D.C. hotel room Monday, according to authorities and shocked friends and family members.
Moore died of an apparent seizure. Police are closely investigating the cause of death after former FBI Agent Robyn Gritz, a friend of Moore’s, made inquiries with homicide detectives Monday afternoon in Prince Georges County, Maryland. Preliminary reports from police said the death was not the result of suicide.
Moore’s body was found by employees at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Washington, D.C. East – in Capitol Heights, Maryland. The investigation is ongoing. An autopsy had not been scheduled as of late Monday. Continue reading
BRINNON, WA. (THECOUNT) — Investigators say a cabin explosion has killed a family of five, including three children, in Brinnon, Washington, early Sunday morning.
Five people including three children were believed dead after a resulting cabin fire in Brinnon, Washington early Sunday morning.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a house fire around 1 a.m. Sunday. Neighbors reported hearing an explosion and said the hillside was on fire. Six neighboring agencies joined the firefight, but the small rental cabin was a total loss. Continue reading

Union, Missouri man, Brett Pendleton, 48, has been arrested after he allegedly forced an 8-year-old girl to ingest methamphetamine by rolling the dangerous drug up in toilet paper and feeding it to her. The degenerate also gave the girl other drugs and alcohol, all while in the commission of a despicable molestation in a Washington area motel.
According to court documents, the 8-year-old’s mother made contact with Pendleton and the child sometime in the evening on Jan. 1. at the American Inn at 1715 East Fifth Street. The child asked for her mother to enter the bathroom to speak to her privately and showed her that she had been hurt by Pendleton. She also told her mother Pendleton made her engage in several different types of sexual acts and he made her eat methamphetamine, smoke marijuana and cigarettes. Continue reading

Desteny Memory Hernandez, a missing American citizen, has been found dead in Tijuana, Mexico. Her body was riddled with multiple gunshots wounds.
Hernandez, 22, was found lifeless in early September, the U.S. Consulate confirmed Hernandez has family ties to San Diego.

It may now be legal to smoke medical marijuana as an adult in Washington State, but a sneaky new law has made it a serious felony charge for youths caught with the green stuff.
The offense for persons under 21 was previously a slap on the wrist misdemeanor with a maximum 90-day jail sentence, but now under the new law, youths can get up to five years in prison, while forever being branded a felon.
