Missing Alabama State U Student Adam Dowdell Found Dead Monday

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Missing Alabama State University student Adam Dowdell Jr., has been found dead Monday in Montgomery County, according to officials.

The body of Dowdell, 22, was found Monday in Montgomery after the student was last seen departing his dorm room to go to an ATM Sept. 8, according to a missing persons poster.

Montgomery Police Capt. Saba Coleman said officers are conducting a death investigation after a male body was discovered about 2:45 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of Hutchinson Street near Interstate 85.

The body was transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy.

A cause of death was not provided.

No suspect information was provided.

ASU campus police were notified Wednesday that he was possibly missing.

“ASUPD has opened an active, ongoing investigation with help from Central Alabama CrimeStoppers and assistance from surrounding law enforcement agencies,” ASU officials said Monday.

Police ask anyone with knowledge of this Dowdell’s death to call CrimeStoppers at 215- STOP, Secret Witness at 625-4000 or MPD at 625-2831.

Missing AL Teen Lesley Pantaleon Found Dead In Montgomery Friday

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Lesley Pantaleon, the Alabama teen reported missing by her parents June 24, was found dead in Montgomery County on Friday.

Pantaleon, 17, who was last seen driving a Chevrolet Trailblazer on Wednesday, has been located deceased in Montgomery on Friday.

According to the Montgomery Police Department, Pantaleon was located in a body of water in the 3800 block of Old Selma Road in Montgomery.

A cause and circumstances surrounding the teen’s death were not provided by officials and remain under investigation.

No arrests and no suspect information was provided.

Recent ASU Grad Jacquez Hall & Justin Martin ID’d As Victims In Thursday Off-Campus Double-Fatal Shooting

MONTGOMERY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Justin Martin and recent Alabama State University grad, Jacquez Hall, have been identified as the victims shot and killed Thursday night near the campus.

According to the Montgomery Police Department, the shooting left 21-year-old Hall of Bessemer, and another man, 24-year-old Martin dead of gunshot injuries near ASU.

Around 7:15 p.m., Thursday night, MPD and Fire Medics responded to the 800 block of North University Drive, after receiving a report of a someone being shot. The Montgomery Police Department says when they arrived on the scene, they found Martin, who received a fatal gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene, reports WKRG.

Sources say Hall was a 2016 graduate of Bessemer High School.

AL Woman Orangeal White ID’d As Victim In Saturday Fatal Montgomery Shooting

MONTGOMERY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Orangeal White, of Montgomery, Alabama has been identified as the victim found suffering from at least one gunshot wound in Montgomery Saturday night. Another female was injured in the shooting.

White, 42, sustained a life threatening gunshot wound in the 1200 block of Marlowe Drive, Montgomery, Alabama on Saturday after 8:30 p.m.

She was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Another woman was also found at the scene, suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound, and she was taken to a hospital for treatment, reports WSFA.

No suspect or motive information was provided by officials.

The homicide investigation is ongoing.

AL Woman Lana Herbert ID’d As Victim In Montgomery Murder Attempted Suicide Wednesday

MONTGOMERY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Lana Herbert, of Montgomery, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a murder and attempted suicide Wednesday in downtown Montgomery.

Investigators say, Herbert, 58, and an unidentified male were both found suffering from at least one gunshot wound Wednesday around 6.p.m. in the 100 block of Commerce Street, near The Legacy Museum in Montgomery.

Police say they have determined preliminary that the male, who was transported to the hospital with gunshot injuries, shot Herbert then turned the gun on himself.

The incident is being investigated as a domestic-related homicide. No prior filings were found on record for protection orders or anything filed by Herbert.

The man is currently at an area hospital being treated for a life-threatening gunshot wound.

Charges are pending against him.

AL Man Darrell Rudolph ID’s As Wednesday Morning Montgomery Fatal Shooting Victim

MONTGOMERY, AL. (THECOUNT)Darrell Rudolph, of Montgomery, AL, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday morning shooting.

A homicide investigation has been opened after Rudolph, 33, was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound on Rosa Parks Avenue early Wednesday morning.

Details on the investigation are limited, but Montgomery Police Department spokesman Sgt. David Hicks said police and fire medics responded to the 500 block of Rosa Parks around 5:45 a.m. on a report of an unconscious man. Continue reading

Hurricane WV Guitarist Mike Sipe ID’d As Victim In Fatal Clendenin I-79 Crash Wednesday

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) — Mike Sipe, of Hurricane, WV, has been identified as the victim in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday.

“Michael L.” Sipe, 39, was named as the man killed in a crash near Clendenin, WV, Wednesday morning on Interstate 79, according to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.

Sipe was operating an SUV on I-79 at about 7 a.m., when he exited the roadway for an unknown reason, rolled several times and was ejected through the sunroof, troopers said.

Family & Friends Picture Montgomery AL Man Found Shot Dead On Buckingham Drive

19-year-old Jadairrus Grimes has been identified as the Montgomery shooting victim who died from injuries suffered Tuesday, the Montgomery Police Department has confirmed.

Grimes was shot around 10:30 a.m. in the 600 block of Buckingham Drive, near the East-South Boulevard.

Grimes was taken to Baptist Medical Center South in life-threatening condition where MPD says he succumbed to his injuries sometime Thursday. The motive and circumstances of the homicide remain under investigation. There have been no arrests made at this point. source

Grimes is the 38th homicide victim in Montgomery in 2017.

Indianapolis Under Tornado WARNING

Indianapolis is under a tornado watch until midnight, the National Weather Service says.

UPDATE: Evansville Police radio reports rotation is visible. Powerlines are down in some counties.

Fountain and Montgomery counties are under the same watch, as are Clay, Green, Putnam, Vermillion, Daviess, Knox, Owen, Sullivan, Vigo, Martin and Parke counties.

About 7:30 p.m., Clinton County was put under a severe thunderstorm warning until 8:15 p.m.

“The county highway (department) has closed several roads because of the floods,” said Chief Deputy Bob Kemp of the Fountain County Sheriff’s Office. He said as of Thursday afternoon no residents had been evacuated. The chief problem is water backing up in ditches and flowing over roads.

“We’re hoping people aren’t driving through it. As long as everybody remembers not to drive through the water, we’ll be fine.”

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook through 7 p.m. Friday, warning of rain, high winds and flooding.
