KY Woman Tara Hall Girtley ID’d As Victim In Sunday Night Fatal Single-SUV Crash

BURLINGTON, KY. (THECOUNT) — Tara Girtley, of Walton, Kentucky, has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash in Burlington County Sunday Night.

Girtley, 36, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Oakbrook Sunday night.

According to reports, Girtley was operating a Saturn Vue on Burlington Pike and Aero Parkway in Oakbrook, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 8 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle then came into contact with a utility pole.

The force of the crash caused the Saturn to literally split in half.

Half of the vehicle continued traveling onto Burlington Pike before making contact with another vehicle.

Girtley, who was ejected during the violent crash, was pronounced dead on the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

Occupants of the other involved vehicle were uninjured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

High School Principal Found With Drugs And Passed-Out Woman In Hotel

A Rancho Cordova Calif., high school principal has resigned after he was apprehended at a hotel room along with a lot of drugs, oh, and a passed-out young woman.

Thomas Price, 54, was arrested at Hyatt Place in Rancho Cordova after a man contacted police man because he was worried about his girlfriend, 21-year-old Brittney Hall.

In his first appearance on television since stepping down as host of “The Tonight Show,” Jay Leno turned up on Wednesday’s edition of “The Arsenio Hall Show” (11 p.m. WPIX/Ch.11) to break the news that Hall’s syndicated program had been renewed for a second season.

Leno pulled an envelope out of his pocket and read aloud that CBS had renewed it for another year.

Hall, appeared to be at a loss for words, until Leno quipped, “He’s more annoyed that I knew before he did.”
