TX Man Leon Shapiro ID’d As Sole Survivor In Friendswood BMW Crash That Killed Female Passenger & Motorcyclist Wednesday Night

FRIENDSWOOD, TX. (THECOUNT) — Leon Shapiro, of Friendswood, Texas, has been identified as the sole survivor in a Wednesday night vehicle-versus-motorcycle crash.

Shapiro, 66, was injured in a Wednesday night crash that killed his 29-year-old female passenger and a male motorcyclist in Friendswood.

According to reports, Shapiro was operating a BMW around 8 p.m. on FM 528 Road near Bay Area Boulevard in Friendswood, when the vehicle came into contact with a Yamaha motorcycle, which was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed.

The motorcycle, operated by 24-year-old Jacob Andrew Raziano, collided with the passenger side of the BMW.

Shapiro’s passenger, 29-year-old Chasonique Evonne Richardson, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma.

Raziano, who was ejected from the bike during the crash, was also pronounced dead at the scene.

Shapiro suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.

The relationship between Shapiro and Richardson was not provided by officials.

An autopsy will be performed to determine if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash, police said.

Raziano, who was former military, had recent prior arrests involving drug charges.

PA Man William Stephens ID’d As Victim In Thursday Johnstown Single-Vehicle Fatal Crash

CAMBRIA COUNTY, WV. (THECOUNT) — William Charles Stephens, of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday morning single-vehicle fatal crash in Cambria County.

Stephens, 58, was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Johnstown on Thursday morning.

According to reports, Stephens was operating a Mitsubishi Galant on Bentwood Avenue, near Teaberry Ln, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 8 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle then entered a culvert causing it to roll over.

Stephens was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma.

VT Man Regon Lowe ID’d As Suspect In Thursday Highgate Fatal Pedestrian Hit-And-Run

FRANKLIN COUNTY, VT. (THECOUNT) — Regon Lowe, of Alburg, Vermont, has been identified as the suspect in a fatal hit-and-run vehicle strike Thursday morning in Franklin County that killed 63-year-old Wendy Lambert of Highgate Center.

Lambert was killed in a hit-and-run vehicle strike while walking her dog in Highgate Thursday morning.

According to officials with the St. Albans Police Department, Lambert was walking her dog when Lowe fatally struck her with a vehicle he was operating at the intersection of Durkee Rd & Hanna Rd in Highgate.

At the scene, Lowe was identified as the suspect after officers located the rear bumper and an attached license plate of his vehicle which had fallen off as he fled the scene.

Lowe later admitted to being involved in the crash and fleeing the scene.

In October of 2019, Lowe was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs following an Alburg traffic stop.

MA Man Tony Gill ID’d As Victim In Wednesday Marshville Fatal ATV Crash

PLYMOUTH COUNTY, MA. (THECOUNT) — Anthony Gill, of Marshfield, Massachusetts, has been identified as the victim in a fatal ATV crash in Plymouth County on Wednesday.

“Tony” Gill, 21, was killed in an ATV crash in Marshville on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Marshfield Police, officers responded to a call of an ATV crash in the area of Bridle Path Lane around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival, first responders found a crashed Honda ATV and Gill unresponsive.

Gill was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.

WA Teen Joshua Jones ID’d As Suspect In Intentional Sky Zone Vehicle Strike Of 45-Year-Old Vancouver Skateboarder

VANCOUVER, WA. (THECOUNT) — Joshua L. Jones has been identified as the teen accused of fatally striking a 45-year-old skateboarder in the Sky Zone Trampoline Park parking lot in Vancouver, Washington Wednesday.

Jones, 18, was arrested after a man riding a skateboard was killed by a vehicle in the Sky Zone parking lot in Vancouver, police said Wednesday.

According to official, first responders responded to the park, located at, East 4th Plain Boulevard in Vancouver, on reports of a man trapped under a vehicle around 1 p.m. Wednesday.

When police arrived, Good Samaritans were already attempting to use an auto jack to help free the victim.

The unidentified victim was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.

Investigators determined that the victim was skateboarding in the parking lot when he allegedly punched the window of Jones’ vehicle.

Jones reportedly performed a U-turn, accelerated, and struck the skateboarder.

Jones was arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail for second-degree murder.

The investigation into the deadly incident remain open.

‘To The Max’ ‘It’s My Turn’ 80s Rapper Steve ‘Stezo’ Williams Dead At 51

NEW HAVEN, CT. (THECOUNT) — Steve “Stezo” Williams, the rapper and dancer perhaps best known for his late 80s hit songs, “To the Max” and “It’s My Turn,” has died. He was 51.

Williams passing was confirmed on Thursday by his producer and DJ, Chris Lowe on Twitter:

Stezo was a native of New Haven, Connecticut. Stezo’s cousin, Dooley-O, is also a renowned Connecticut-based hip-hop figure. He began his career as a dancer with hip-hop collective, EPMD. Stezo appeared in the video for the group’s single, “You Gots to Chill.” The song was featured on EPMD’s album, Strictly Business. EPMD stood for “Erick and Parrish Making Dollars,” reports Heavy.

OH Man Jae’Lin Williams ID’d As Pedestrian In Thursday Morning Fatal Dayton Vehicle Strike

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Jae’Lin Williams, of Lima, Ohio, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by two vehicles on Interstate 75 Thursday morning in Butler Township.

Williams, 22, was killed after being fatally struck by several vehicles in Dayton on Thursday morning.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Williams was on-foot on I-75 in the area of Benchwood Road, when he was fatally struck by a passing Chrysler Sebring and a Chevrolet Express van Thursday morning.

Williams was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

The three occupants of the vehicles were not injured in the crash.

The deadly incident remains under investigation.

TN Man Michael Moore ID’d As Victim In Wednesday Night Memphis Fatal Motorcycle Crash

SHELBY COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Michael Moore of Memphis, Tennessee, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday night motorcycle crash Shelby County.

Moore, 39, was killed in a motorcycle crash involving a BMW on Wednesday night in Memphis.

According to officials, Moore was operating a motorcycle traveling on Kirby Parkway near Birch Run Lane in Memphis, when the bike came into contact with a BMW around 10 p.m. Wednesday in the Hickory Hill area.

Moore was killed in the crash.

The driver of the BMW, who was not injured in the wreck, remained at the scene and fully cooperated with first responders.

No one was cited at the scene.

Mystery Solved: CA Woman Tracey Ivori Sinclair ID’d As Victim Seen Hurtling SUV Off Gray Whale Cove In December

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — Tracey Ivori Sinclair, of San Francisco, California, has been identified as the driver of a green Lexus SUV was caught on video careening over a cliff near Gray Whale Cove in San Mateo County in December.

After five months, authorities finally identified Sinclair, 52, as the driver seen in a viral video flying off a Highway 1 cliffside in San Mateo County on December 30, 2019.

The video of the incident was captured on a dash-cam video of a vehicle that was passing by on Highway 1.

At the time, authorities searched the area, but found no immediate trace of the SUV or the driver.

“Although lacking sufficient information to positively identify the driver at the time of the incident, San Francisco CHP investigators remained determined and vigilant to solve the case and bring proper closure to surviving family and friends,” the CHP said in a news release Wednesday.

The CHP said human remains and Sinclair’s driver’s license were found at nearby Montara State Beach over a period of several months. A California Department of Motor Vehicles records check also revealed Sinclair was the registered owner of a 2007 Lexus SUV, reports MercuryNews.

“The San Francisco area CHP would like to express our heartfelt condolences to the victim’s family and friends,” the CHP said.

“We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to our allied agencies whose efforts greatly contributed to the outcome of this investigation. Finally, we would like to thank the public for your support, patience, and assistance throughout this ongoing process.”

A missing person’s report filed by Sinclair’s family and a DNA match confirmed by the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office provided the remaining circumstantial evidence to indicate Sinclair was the driver of the vehicle caught on camera, the CHP said.

MN Man Kevin Vereecke ID’d As Suspect In Tuesday St Paul Fatal Hit-And-Run Of Russell Bangert

RAMSEY COUNTY, MN. (THECOUNT) — Kevin Chad Vereecke, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, has been identified as the suspect in a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run vehicle strike on Tuesday.

Vereecke, 46, is accused of impaired driving after a vehicle he was operating struck and killed Minneapolis man, 61-year-old Russell William Bangert Tuesday afternoon in St. Paul.

According to St. Paul officials, officers responded to a report of a fatal hit-and-run vehicle crash involving a pedestrian around 4:45 p.m. on the 600 block of Vandalia Street. When first responders arrived, Bangert was found suffering from blunt force trauma injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators later located Vereecke’s vehicle displaying incriminating damage based on surveillance video near the scene of the deadly crash.

Vereecke was taken into custody at his residence near Myrtle Avenue and Vandalia Street. He was booked into Ramsey County Jail on probable cause criminal vehicular operation. Other charges are likely forthcoming.
