Katy Perry is supposed to be a professional singer, but that professionalism could not buy the singer a break after her audio failed while performing on a French TV show..
Selena Gomez sounded fantastic! And why wouldn’t she? With all those backing tracks.. Anyone would’ve sounded like a superstar. But the troubling thing is, Selena wasn’t singing most of, if any of that at all.. That’s right another lip syncing victim.. And I can guess what her excuse will be, something like she had to dance and she couldn’t do both.. But let’s face, not to be mean, Selena is not much of a dancer. Compared to other young dancers, Selena is kind of a joke..
Things might be getting a lot more embarrassing for Beyoncé as a crafty YouTube viewers detected a “glitch” or “skip” in the singer’s playback during her Super Bowl Half-Time performance! Indicating you guessed it! Backing tracks! And plenty of lip-synching! Something Beyoncé promised there would be none of!
I queued up the video for you guys right before the glitch happens SO listen carefully and you may have to listen back a few times, but it definitely skips! It happens at exactly 1:35.
If you’re wondering, I listened to a bunch of YouTube videos of the same exact part and the glitch happens on every single one.
in no way insinuating that Beyoncé lip-synched her version of the Star-Spangled Banner for the President’s inauguration bash, I just found it interesting that the pictures released representing her preparation for the glitzy event depict her in a recording studio, hmmm…
If I’m not mistaken, Beyoncé totally appears to be “listening to her own voice back(?),” which means she recorded it for later use… Later, as in the inauguration performance. Now of course I have no way of knowing what Beyoncé was listening to when this picture was taken, I’m just sayin’… BTW, the fashion style for recording engineers and producers has really changed over the years… Welcome to new era of music industry control, “Government Records.”
I’m not trying to say that Beyoncé is not talented enough to pull this one off, for Christ sake, the woman had a magic folding pregnant stomach! Is it so completely crazy to think that she might be pre-recording her performance complete with auto-tune?
It would not be unusual for the pop diva to employ heavy backing tracks during the live performance. These days audio engineers always keep one pre-recorded version of the singer’s voice playing with the fader down, then if the talent is having issues hitting the high notes, the engineer simply fades down the live voice while fading up the pitch-perfect pre-recorded voice. This Method can be used for part or all of the song depending on a variety of unique circumstances.
