FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA – Monday November 8, 2010. David Cassidy, former star of the 1970s TV show The Partridge Family, was arrested on Wednesday evening after blowing .14 on the breathalyzer. The 60-year-old former teen heartthrob was caught allegedly driving recklessly by Fort Pierce, and was caught with a half-empty bottle of bourbon in his Mercedes. Internet game/app “FarmVille”, who is owned by company “Zynga”, has gotten a bad rep as of late for selling users’ info to advertisers without the users’ permission. Now FarmVille is in even hotter water today because a young mother has confessed to ‘snapping during a Facebook game of Farmville, and killing her son’ so she could concentrate on her game!
This 22 year old Jacksonville, FL woman by the name of Alexandra Tobias, has admitted to shaking her three-month-old baby to death because “his cries kept interrupting her game of FarmVille”! She now faces up to life in prison for the murder.
She told investigators during the shaking, she stopped to have a cigarette to calm down, then shook him again, and said she “maybe” struck him. He then died.
A bad case of “social media addiction” aka SMA?
Here is American Idol winner David Cook yapping his trap:
First off, I want to say thank you to everyone who has been coming out to the shows since my last post. The vibe at these shows has been amazing.
Secondly, I have to address some behavior that has become disturbing. We pride ourselves on being accessible to you as fans, but in contrast, we do enjoy what little privacy we can muster. To that end, the efforts by some fans to find our hotel rooms, call our hotel rooms, attach things to our bus, etc., is something I have to condemn. This relationship only works when it remains healthy for both parties, and should this behavior continue, the only thing we can do is take more preventative measures to maintain our privacy, which in turn makes us less accessible to you.
I hope this doesn’t come off as harsh. I merely want to nip this in the bud so we can continue to have a great experience with all of you at the shows we have coming up. Take care and see you at the next show.
Isn’t this normal for ANY rockstar to experience? It’s called having fans and being popular!! In about 3 years David will totally wish he never wrote this!
“Please come visit me in my skid row apartment!! Please come and I’ll sing a duet with Ruben Studdard”.
