EDMOND, OK. (THECOUNT) — An 11-year-old girl has been arrested and booked on a second-degree murder charge after her 15-year-old brother was fatally shot in the head inside an Edmond home, according to the Edmond Police Department and reporting by ABC News.
The girl was taken into custody around 1 a.m. Thursday and transported to a juvenile facility following the shooting Wednesday night. Because the case involves juveniles, police have not released the names or other identifying information of the children.

Officers responding to the reported shooting found the 15-year-old with a gunshot wound to the head, according to police and emergency radio traffic cited by ABC News. The teenager was pronounced dead.
According to ABC News, the children’s mother was not at the home when the shooting occurred. Investigators said she told authorities that her daughter called and reported that someone had shot her son.
