FL Man Dayan Rodrigue ID’d As Victim In Fatal Hit-And-Run Motorcycle Crash

WEST PALM BEACH, FL. (THECOUNT.COM) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reports that 29-year-old Dayan Rodriguez of Lake Worth has died following a hit-and-run motorcycle crash late Wednesday night in West Palm Beach.

According to investigators, the collision occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Military Trail and Canal 10 Road. Rodriguez was riding a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle southbound in the outside lane of Military Trail when, for reasons still under investigation, he collided with a second vehicle attempting a U-turn from the northbound lanes directly into his path.

Authorities said Rodriguez was traveling at a high rate of speed and had his motorcycle lights off at the time of the crash. The impact caused him to be ejected from his motorcycle. Emergency responders transported him to St. Mary’s Medical Center in critical condition, but he later succumbed to his injuries. His death was pronounced at 5:53 a.m. Thursday.

The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene immediately after the collision, heading southbound on Military Trail. PBSO Investigator J. Frey is leading the ongoing homicide investigation. Law enforcement has not yet released any description of the vehicle or potential suspects involved in the hit-and-run.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the crash to contact the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Witnesses are encouraged to come forward to assist with the investigation into this fatal hit-and-run incident.

This tragic crash highlights the dangers of high-speed collisions involving motorcycles and underscores the importance of road safety, proper lighting, and vigilance at intersections.
