MEMPHIS, TN. (THECOUNT) — Memphis Police (MPD) have identified 45-year-old Monica Williams as the suspect in the fatal shooting of a Church’s Texas Chicken employee Monday night.
Williams is wanted on a first-degree murder charge for the killing of 48-year-old Anitra West. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on July 8 at a Church’s Texas Chicken located at 2963 Park Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee after an argument over an order.
According to MPD, Williams drove her compact SUV through the drive-thru and argued with West. Shortly after the confrontation, West stepped outside to get some air, at which point Williams allegedly shot her before speeding away.
Williams’ car was located the next day at the city impound lot, but she remains at large as of Thursday.
West’s 12-year-old daughter, Zoe, expressed her anger towards Williams in a statement to FOX13: “I hope you rot in hell when you die and I hope you don’t ever get to see your kids ever again.”
The investigation continues as MPD searches for Williams.
According to online reports, the victim was also known as Noelani Drayah. The suspect is also known as Monica Charlie Baltimore Williams.
