FREDERICK COUNTY, MD. (THECOUNT) — Gregory Wood, of Hagerstown, Maryland, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday night fatal motorcycle crash in Frederick County.
Wood, 59, was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle collision in Myersville Sunday night.
According to reports, Wood was operating a Ducati motorcycle on Interstate 70 near the South Mountain Rest Area in Myersville, when the bike came into rear end contact with a Freightliner semi-tractor hauling a shipping container around 7 p.m. Sunday.
Wood was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver was not injured.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
