LOGAN COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Anthony Jacob Blomquist, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday fatal vehicle crash in Logan County.
Tony Blomquist, 34, was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-tractor Wednesday afternoon in Russellville.
According to reports, Blomquist was operating a Toyota Highlander on East 9th Street near Dockins Street in Russellville, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a semi, operated by Khurshedjon Mustofoev, 55, of Brooklyn, New York.
Blomquist was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
It is unclear if Mustofoev suffered any injuries.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
