HENNEPIN COUNTY, MN. (THECOUNT) — Matthew Arthur Weilke, of Andover, Minnesota, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday fatal motorcycle crash in Hennepin County.
Matt Weilke, 19, was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash near Fort Snelling in St. Paul Wednesday morning.
According to reports, Weilke was operating a motorcycle on MN-62 near Highway 5 in St. Paul, when the bike veered left at the Highway 5 exit, lost control and came into contact with a pair of highway signs around 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Weilke was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
