BEDFORD COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — William Davis Canfield, of Forest, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a Friday fatal vehicle crash in Bedford County.
Bill Canfield, 55, was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning in Forest. Virginia State Police say Canfield experienced a medical emergency before the crash.
According to officials, Canfield was operating a Jeep Cherokee on Perrowville Road near Farmington Drive in Forest, when the vehicle exited the vehicle and wrecked around 7 a.m. Friday.
Canfield, who had ties to Lynchburg, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials did not say how they concluded Canfield experienced a medial episode.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
