EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Reginald Elloie, of Slidell, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal vehicle crash in East Baton Rouge Parish Monday night.
Elloie, a 23-year-old Southern University business major student, was killed in a vehicle crash near campus Monday night.
According to reports, Elloie was traveling in a vehicle on Interstate 20 near Scenic Highway, when the crash occurred around 9 p.m. Monday.
Elloie was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries suffered in the wreck.
The university issued the following statement:
Southern University extends condolences to the family, classmates, and friends of student Reginald Elloie, a senior from New Orleans who was majoring in business. Elloie was tragically killed in a vehicular accident Monday evening.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
