PITTSBURG COUNTY, OK. (THECOUNT) — Christopher Pierson and Darci Pierson, of McAlester, Oklahoma, have been identified as the victims in a Saturday night double-fatal crash in Pittsburg County.
Christopher, 33, and his wife, Darci, 28, were both killed in a single-vehicle crash involving a deer in McAlester Saturday night.
According to reports, Christopher was operating a vehicle on Indian Nation Turnpike near Mile Marker 80, when the vehicle came into contact with a deer in the roadway around 7:45 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle then exited the roadway before coming into contact with a tree and rolling over into a creek.
The couple were both pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
