BUNCOMBE COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Jason Dean Wyatt, of Ashville, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a fatal vehicle-versus-bicycle crash in Buncombe County.
Wyatt, 44, was killed after the bicycle he was riding was struck by a vehicle Friday night in Ashland.
According to reports, Wyatt was operating a bicycle on Patton Avenue in Asheville, when the bike was struck by a vehicle around 10:20 p.m. Friday.
Wyatt was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
It is unclear if the collision is considered a hit-and-run.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
